If you look at most comments left on the internet in response to people’s expressions, they usually fall into one of three categories:
Years ago, I was leaving a comment on a video and suddenly realized how absurd my true motivation was. I actually wanted to instruct this person, unknown to me, on “proper perception.” I asked myself, “Have I really made myself this person’s life coach?”
That reflection made me delete all the response comments I had written across the internet that weren’t genuine support, and in doing so, I put to bed a leftover piece of childhood.
